lovely-aacdec: the source, and what was changed

lovely-aacdec is free software under the GNU General Public License,
version 2 (licences/GPL-2.0.txt). Its complete source code, the source
it was built from, is in this package:

    share/source/lovely-aacdec-<version>-src.tar.gz

To build it (Go 1.26 or later, no other tools, no network):

    tar xzf lovely-aacdec-<version>-src.tar.gz
    cd lovely-aacdec-src/aacdec
    GOOS=netbsd GOARCH=arm64 CGO_ENABLED=0 go build -trimpath ./cmd/lovely-aacdec

What it is made of:

  aacdec/goaac github.com/llehouerou/go-aac at
                    v0.0.0-20260119142340-5f2857eb82ad (GPL-2.0, a port
                    of FAAD2, Copyright (C) 2003-2005 M. Bakker, Nero AG
and the go-aac authors: aacdec/goaac/AUTHORS), with
the tests and test data left out and two packages
added by the lovely project on 2026-10-02:
goaac/register imports the filter bank for its
                                      registration (the root package
                                      cannot: an import cycle)
goaac/lc joins the parsed elements, the
                                      spectral reconstruction and the
filter bank into a decoder of AAC
                                      Main/LC frames (the root package's
element decoding is a stub in this
                                      version)
Nothing else of go-aac was changed.
aacdec/mp4 the MP4 sample tables (the lovely project, MIT-0)
aacdec/codec the stream: frames, trimming, seeking (MIT-0)
  aacdec/cmd the program (MIT-0)
music/aacproto the protocol with the Music app (MIT-0)

The program as a whole is distributed under GPL-2.0.

The same source is in the lovely project's repository,
core-apps/music/aacdec and core-apps/music/aacproto. Written offer: for
three years from the distribution of this package, the author (Paul
Black, paulrblack.prb@gmail.com) will give the complete corresponding
source to anyone who asks, for no more than the cost of copying it.
